His full name was Abu'l Hasan bin Abu'l Hadi Al Sindi. He was a famous scholar of the Qur'an and Sunnah in Medina, who is known as the founder of the modern Sindhi writing system. == Life and work == He was born in Sindh, Pakistan and educated there. After becoming a prominent scholar in his native land, and nearing old age, he set off with a caravan to perform the Hajj, and later settled in Medina. Al-Sindhi became a respected teacher of Hadith in Medina. He was a student of Muhammad Hayaat Al-Sindhi, another prominent Hadith scholar from Sindh who was also teaching in Medina.
