Abul Hassan Sindhi

Imam Abul Hassan Al-Sindi (Arabic: امام أبو الحسن بن محمد صادق السندي، المدني) (d.1176 AH/1724 AD). His full name was Abu'l Hasan bin Abu'l Hadi Al Sindi. He was a famous scholar of the Qur'an and Sunnah in Medina, who is known as the founder of the modern Sindhi writing system.
== Life and work ==
He was born in Sindh, Pakistan and educated there. After becoming a prominent scholar in his native land, and nearing old age, he set off with a caravan to perform the Hajj, and later settled in Medina.
Al-Sindhi became a respected teacher of Hadith in Medina. He was a student of Muhammad Hayaat Al-Sindhi, another prominent Hadith scholar from Sindh who was also teaching in Medina. One of Muhammad Hayaat as-Sindi's students was Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab
Al-Sindhi completed one of the first translations of the Qur'an from Arabic to Sindhi language.
